BORN IN 1992

Caterina Piccardo, born amidst the vibrant alleys of Genoa, Italy in 1992, now calls the creative whirlwind of Los Angeles her home.
With a passion for visual storytelling coursing through her veins, she embarked on her artistic journey, honing her craft at The Academy of Fine Art in her hometown, earning her BFA in 2017. This was just the beginning.

Venturing across the Atlantic, Piccardo delved deeper into her artistic odyssey, pursuing her MFA in visual art at the prestigious New York Film Academy, Los Angeles, in 2020. It was here that her creative spirit found new heights, igniting her imagination with boundless possibilities.
In 2015, the world caught a glimpse of Piccardo's brilliance as she unveiled her mesmerizing video artwork, "Correspondences," within the hallowed walls of the Old Customs Hall of Palazzo Ducale, Genoa.
This was a mere prelude to what was to come.
Her debut collection of paintings, the provocative "Venus After the Feminist Revolution," burst onto the scene at the esteemed Rotta Art Gallery, Genoa, Italy, captivating audiences with its raw emotion and fearless exploration of femininity.
The resounding success led to her inaugural solo exhibition in May 2017, marking a pivotal moment in her burgeoning career.
Eager to push the boundaries of her artistry, Piccardo embarked on a transatlantic voyage, setting her sights on the sun-kissed shores of Los Angeles in 2017.
Yet, her love for her roots never waned. In a bold display of creative rebellion, she spearheaded the groundbreaking project, "Walk the Line," adorning a freeway pillar in Genoa with a monumental piece inspired by her seminal collection. It was a fusion of her past and present, a testament to her unwavering commitment to storytelling through art.

Today, Caterina Piccardo continues to captivate audiences with her visionary works, seamlessly blending the traditional with the avant-garde, as she navigates the ever-evolving landscape of contemporary art with the collaboration with Mark Jude Gallery, partnership which started in 2024.
